One kitchen, one cook, three generations of recipes.
MashaMeal is Maria's home kitchen in North Highlands. She cooks the way her grandmother did in Ukraine, with one change: every ingredient is organic.
We started with borscht for friends who missed home. Then their friends asked. Then a church group ordered for a whole week. This site is how we keep up without losing what makes it good: one person cooking, on the day you eat it.
Masha plans each cooking day in advance, shops on the day before, and cooks in the morning. That's why we ask for orders two days ahead, and why nothing here is frozen or reheated.
Vegetables, meat, dairy and flour all come from organic farms. It costs more and tastes like it.
Your food is made on the day you get it. Never the day before.
A limited number of portions per day, so every pot gets the attention it needs.
